It's been a while... here's some stuff to look at.

I have a serious problem with the following:

Songs that get covered too soon
For some reason, i just think it's incredibly dumb and i usually end up feeling personally offended when songs get covered too soon after the original has been released. i understand covering the beatles, dolly parton, michael jackson, johnny cash. but major (or at least semi-major) musicians covering their contemporaries rubs me the wrong way. Case in point – iron and wine’s cover of postal service’s “such great heights”, joss stone’s cover of white stripes’ “fell in love with a girl” (added ick for changing the title to “fell in love with a boy”), and jose gonzalez’ cover of the knife’s “heartbeats” – listen to/watch this dazzling display of corporate advertising here.

Gross. Watch this… the worst part is that devo (version 1.0) has completely sanctioned this monstrosity... they direct the videos and re-tool the lyrics to make them kid-friendly. all i can say is oy vey.

Lindsay Lohan's facial expressions don't change.

Neither do Paris Hilton's.
