feeling different...

i'm not sure what's up, but i definitely feel a change today...


1. i wasn't nervous on my way to work like i have been since i started last week. i casually leaned back in my chair as i spoke to media bigwigs and their underlings on the phone, laughing at lame jokes and taking the occasional swig from my nalgene bottle.

2. babies smiled at me on the metro. babies... plural. one bald baby with big blue eyes sat behind me and played with my hair.

3. i didn't feel annoyed by the teenage boy who works at panera and always flirts with me. perhaps because i scored a free drink out of the deal today.

4. didn't get flustered by my boss's steady gaze. i'm usually the one with the crazy eye contact and his usage used to slightly freak me out.

5. i enjoyed html today.

6. my commute exhausted me and i fell asleep at 7pm, only to awake completely refreshed at 9.

7. i've been listening to the same song on a loop for 2 hours. thank you soft complex.

8. i can miraculously carry a tune today.

9. i'm not feeling jealous or left-out about having missed my friends' show tonight.


everything seems easy and uncomplicated; things are falling together and i'm not sure why.
