wednesday musings...

i've decided to end my period of self-imposed social detoxification. i still haven't finished/started any of my t-shirts or taken any more pictures with my kickass SLR, but i have jumped head-first into the exciting world of digital photography due to the radness of my new camera.

had the most horrendous nightmare the other night... it involved torrential downpours and floods, giant oak trees being ripped up by the roots and violently hurled down the street. the water was up to my neck and i almost drowned. attempted to climb to safety atop these wooden doghouses with big sloppily painted on their roofs. a bunch of little people popped out from under the roofs and exclaimed “don’t you have any respect for the dead?!” i retreated and sought sanctuary in my maternal grandmother’s creepy old house. the storm miraculously ceased. found a very sketchy note on the in the upstairs back bedroom from an attractive young man asking the reader to do something easy for him and in exchange he would provide free room and board during the storm. the sketchy guy came in and began to remove his pants. i ran into the bathroom and the guy morphed into a grizzly, slightly zombie-looking and started to sing this creepy song whose lyrics i have since forgotten. he charged at me with the zipper of his pants slightly askew. my little brother opened the cracked bathroom window and willy nelson jumped out of it, landing in a . my brother and i ran down the stairs, out the front door, only to come face to face with willy, who had morphed into a wrinkly, but robust old woman with swollen, purple lips. the woman cackled and taunted us to “run away home” and to let her see which way we ran. we ran toward the rich houses up the hill and the old woman followed us. i awoke drenched in sweat and shaking.

i really can’t wait to move with bek. our search for an appropriate apartment has only just recently begun, but any leads would be much appreciated.

i brought my favorite tea mug to work today and it’s made the day infinitely more interesting. it’s old and i stole it from my mom – has very decadent black and white illustrations of fashionable people in ball gowns and tuxes and eye makeup in the 1920s. i love it.

When i was little i was obsessed with dinosaurs. i had memorized everything that i had ever read about them, including scientific names and categories, dates, and the like. i loved them so much… what happened to all that knowledge? i don’t remember anything about them now...

i want to go to new york to see some music and danse. i haven’t been up there at all this summer and i am infinitely disappointed in myself for being so lazy. who wants to go?

the summer is winding d

n… i don’t really mind, since i work year-round and am much more fond of cold/cool-weather clothes than hot-weather ones.
