had the most enchanting evening yesterday at death by sexy's show at dc9 with my equally enchanting friend, tom. we hung around, in a vague woodchuck-induced haze while being endlessly entertained by prescription sunglasses and plied with loads of great swag.
i had the pleasure of being one of the elite few at this very exclusive gig and was supremely not disappointed. both death and sexy were lovely to watch in their boas that clung to their necks in increasingly sweaty strands as the night progressed. a sparkling, sing-a-along cover of i'm the leader of the gang (i am!) made me happy, as did the stray cats-lookin, tatted up rockabilly fellow standing next to me who harbored a delightfully intense fondness for Gary Glitter. the evening came to a rousing climax as the boys eased into a nonchalant, tambourine-shakin performance of i want your girl that got many a toe a-tappin'.
once again, i am sockless due to all the rockin'. behold:
